The Ski Resort: A Paradise for Winter Sports Enthusiasts

The Gastein Valley in the Salzburg region is a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. Here, you'll find a total of four diverse ski areas with a combined piste length of approximately 200 km. You'll discover a wide range of blue, red, and black slopes, allowing you to easily choose your preferred terrain to leave your tracks in the snow and collect kilometers.

But the Gastein Valley has more to offer than just groomed slopes. For freeride enthusiasts, this region is a true Eldorado. With wide, north-facing descents and fresh powder snow lasting well into the afternoon, along with thrilling tree runs and steep chutes, the Gastein Valley offers an impressive variety of freeride experiences.

The high-altitude location of the Gastein Valley ensures snow reliability and makes it a popular destination for freeriders. Especially the Sportgastein ski area, reaching up to 2,686 meters, magically attracts freeriders. Here, you'll find numerous powder slopes easily accessible without long ascents.
